The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, August 13 reveals Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will lose it with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Also coming up, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will issue a warning to Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). Plus, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will ask Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to leave Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) alone.
Y&R spoilers tease Jack will meet Cane at Society. He’ll say he still doesn’t know why he and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) were invited to his chateau. But he was relieved to leave without a knife in his back. Talk will turn to Cane’s intentions.
They’ll start with Abbott Communications and how Billy offered him a stake in the company. So, Jack will ask why Cane wants his stake. “I think it’s a wise investment,” Cane will reply. Jack will tell him it would be in his best interest to leave Genoa City, no one wants him there.

“By the way, if the rumors I hear are true,” he’ll add. “It would be wise to remember the scope of power of the people you are pitting yourself against.” Jack will leave and go home to complain about Cane to his wife. As for Cane, he’ll head to the park and call Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), to ask if she still wants to meet.
At Newman ranch, Nick will tell Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) he was hoping Billy and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) would have realized Cane is nothing but trouble. “You and I both know that Phyllis will sell her first born to get what she wants,” Victor will say as he enters the room.
Nick will say Phyllis would walk through the fires of hell for her children. Victor will ask Adam if the article outing Aristotle Dumas as Cane is ready and tell him to release it. Then Victoria will arrive and ask to speak with Victor alone. So, her brothers will leave.
“Daddy, how could you?” she’ll ask. “You used Audra Charles to try to break up Kyle and Claire!” Victoria will add she shouldn’t be surprised, considering the extent he went to over the years to interfere in her own love life. She’ll remind him Claire just lost Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) and needs her grandfather, he’s a father figure in her life.
“Everything I do is out of love for you and for Claire,” he’ll say. “I don’t want to see her get her heart broken. “But Victoria will tell him Kyle isn’t the one threatening to break Claire’s heart, he is. Victor will tell her it wasn’t a very nice thing to say. “But it’s true,” Victoria will reply. “I’m begging you, let this go, let Claire find her own way.”
At the park, Sally will call an event planner about the Abbott Communications launch. Billy will show up and be distracted. So, Sally will ask if he’s okay. “I’m processing things with my brother, I told him the truth that Cane wants to use me against my family.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Billy Says Sally Can Lead The Company
Sally will say he was right to warn Jack about it. He’ll tell her his brother wants him to spy on Cane. “Billy please tell me you see what a bad idea this is,” Sally will reply. But he’ll say he can help protect Jabot and find out what Cane’s plans are for Chancellor.
“So then, nothing has changed,” Sally will reply. “I’m just supposed to sit around and wait to see what happens?” She’ll ask if they’re even going to launch the company. Billy will say he’s sorry. Sally will ask him to step aside and let her run it. Billy will say she’s right, she should start leading Abbott Communications as of now.
Finally, Nick and Adam will end up at Crimson Lights and Billy will stroll in. Adam will ask him why he’d want anything to do with Cane, after what happened in France. Billy will wonder why Adam cares. “Are you working with Cane or not to further his agenda?” Nick will ask.
But Billy will say he’s there to get a coffee, not a shakedown from the Newman Brothers so they can get intel on Cane. He’ll add that Victor doesn’t even want Chancellor. He just wants a shiny new toy for his wife, so she can dress up every day and play CEO. “That’s enough!” Nick will shout. “Don’t talk about my mom like that!”
Billy will say the Newmans are a bunch of bullies, who backstab and sell each other out. “Let’s watch you run your mouth while you’re spitting your teeth out,” Nick will reply. Billy will tell him to take his best shot but Adam will tell Nick he’s not worth it.
After Billy leaves, Nick will comment to Adam that at least they know where Billy stands. “Cane’s got him in his back pocket,” Adam will reply.
